Southampton burning bin body identified as Jamie Dack

A body found in an industrial bin in Southampton has been identified as Jamie Dack.

The 22-year-old, from Millbrook Road West, was discovered after crews were called to a fire at an industrial estate on Sunday morning.

Four people arrested on suspicion of murder have had their bail extended until midnight for further questioning.

Mr Dack's family described him as "a good natured young man who liked to chat and made friends easily".

In a statement they said: "Jamie was well liked by everyone and he will be sadly missed.

"He liked to chat and made friends easily and had a trusting nature."

'Pushing bin'

They added: "His whole family are devastated by his untimely death.

"He was a young man who should have had his whole life ahead of him. This has been cut abruptly short by whoever committed this horrendous crime.

"We would urge anyone who knows anything about Jamie's murder to get in contact with the police and let them know what you know. It could make all the difference and help them find who did this to Jamie."

Three men, aged 31, 28 and 25 and a 20-year old woman, are being questioned by detectives.

Jamie's Body was found in a burning bin in Dukes Road on the Empress Road Industrial Estate.

Police believe his body may have been moved to the industrial estate from another location.

Det Insp Simon Baker appealed for anyone who may have seen a wheelie bin being pushed for some distance in the area of Bevois Mews and Earls Road to contact the force.
