Murder probe after man found injured in Farnborough road dies

Police have begun a murder inquiry after a man discovered in a Hampshire road with a head injury died.

The 36-year-old was found collapsed near the Old Courthouse pub in Cove Road, Farnborough, at 18:29 BST on Saturday, Hampshire Constabulary said.

Officers believe the man may have been attacked. He was taken to hospital where he was pronounced dead.

Detectives from Aldershot CID are investigating and a post-mortem examination is due to be held.

The man's identity has not yet been released. Police are appealing for information.
