Ray Dibbs murder probe: Man bailed after earlier arrest

A man arrested in connection with the suspected murder of a Hampshire businessman has been released on bail.

Ray Dibbs, 36, from West Heath Road, Farnborough, was found collapsed with a head injury outside a pub on Saturday.

A 37-year-old man from Farnborough arrested on Monday has been bailed until 14 June.

Hampshire Police confirmed Mr Dibbs was found near the Old Courthouse Pub in Cove Road at 18:29 BST. He died later in hospital.

Police are continuing to appeal for anyone who was in the area at the time to come forward.

Det Ch Insp Tim Rowlandson from Hampshire Police described the attack as a tragedy.

He said: "We're doing all we can to accurately establish the chain of events that led to Ray's death.

"I would ask for anyone who was near the pub on Saturday evening and saw anything but hasn't yet spoken to us to contact us as soon as possible."
