Portsmouth assistant head teacher faces sex charges

An assistant head teacher has been charged with six child sex offences.

Matthew Hill, 38, who lives in Fareham, faces five counts of making indecent images of children.

None of the images relates to pupils at Lyndhurst Junior School in Crofton Road, Portsmouth, where he is employed.

Mr Hill was also charged with engaging in sexual activity in the presence of a child under 13 while volunteering at Buckland Park Adventure Playground in Portsmouth.

He was released on bail to appear before Portsmouth magistrates next month.
