Paul Weller to play Isle of Wight Festival 2013
Paul Weller has been added to the bill for this year's Isle of Wight Festival.
The former Jam frontman will appear as a special guest before Friday night headliners The Stone Roses.
He said: "It's been a while since I've played [the festival] and I'm excited to be playing it this year. It's a great way to kick off the summer."
The Killers and Bon Jovi have already been announced as headliners for the first major festival of the summer, in June.
John Giddings, the festival's promoter, said: "If you like music, you like Paul Weller - he is one of the greatest singer-songwriters this country has produced and we are proud to bring him to our small island off the south coast.
"We have plenty of pebbles on a beach for him."
Other acts added to the line-up include I Am Kloot, Ke ha, Kodaline, Devlin, Little Angels, Willy Mason, Steve Harley & Cockney Rebel, Lawson, Ian Hunter and The Gypsy Queens.
They join the likes of Jake Bugg, The Script, Bloc Party, Paloma Faith, The Maccabees, Emeli Sande, Ben Howard, Ellie Goulding, and Blondie.
The festival runs from 13-16 June, at Seaclose Park in Newport.
Last year's event was marred by heavy rain, which turned many car parks into mud baths with some festival-goers forced to sleep in their cars as traffic became gridlocked.
