Man charged over Southampton club blinding attack

A man has been charged in connection with an attack at a Southampton nightclub in which a man was blinded in one eye.

Dean de Freitas, 47 was punched in the face while on a night out with his sons and workmates in the Cellar Bar on West Marlands Road in December.

Thomas Goff, 29, of Northam Road, Southampton, has been charged with inflicting grievous bodily harm.

He will appear at the city's crown court next month.
