Basingstoke crash leaves driver with serious leg injury

A woman was seriously hurt after the car she was driving in a car park went over a wall.

The 36-year-old learner driver was left with a serious leg injury after the silver Mercedes crashed in a car park at West Ham Close in Basingstoke.

The passenger, a 37-year-old man, was unhurt in the crash, which happened shortly after 17:30 GMT on Sunday.

The pair were taken to hospital. No other vehicles are believed to have been involved.
