Four men charged with 41 robberies, thefts and burglaries

Four men have been charged in connection with 41 robberies, thefts and burglaries across five counties.

The offences include armed robberies of banks and shops, house burglaries and car thefts in Hampshire, Berkshire, Surrey, Wiltshire and Oxfordshire.

Stewart Last, 28; Richard Loveridge, 27; Lee Fitzgerald, 37, from Berkshire, and Andrew Smith, 27, from Surrey, have been charged.

All four will appear at Portsmouth Crown Court on 25 March.

The charges relate to armed robberies of security guards and couriers delivering cash to banks and building societies between August 2011 and February 2012.

They are also charged with offences linked to stolen car number plates, burglaries at petrol stations, corner shops and supermarkets.
