Portsmouth death sparks Hampshire police drug warning
Police in Portsmouth have issued drugs warnings after a man was found dead at a property in the city.
Hampshire Constabulary officers were called to the address on Commercial Road shortly after 17:00 BST on Sunday.
A police spokesman said the death of the 20-year-old was not being treated as suspicious, but warned against combining "drugs with alcohol or any substance that causes a high".
A post-mortem will be held later in the week to establish the cause of death.
Police have yet to formally identify the man.
The spokesman added: "We are aware of speculation and previous warnings over ecstasy tablets known as 'Green Apples'.
"At this time there is no evidence in our investigation so far to confirm a definite link between the death and one particular drug.
"However, we are keeping an open mind about information we receive. Police have regular discussions with medical professionals and drugs counsellors from partner agencies."
