Bishops Waltham girl Jessie Vardy's cancer response 'amazing'


A five-year-old Hampshire girl has amazed doctors with her response to treatment for a rare form of cancer that usually proves fatal.

Jessie Vardy from Bishops Waltham has a type of tumour called that is usually only seen in two children a year in the UK.

She has undergone chemotherapy which has shrunk the tumour - which was the size of an orange - by 75%.

Jessie now faces further chemotherapy and a complex operation to remove the tumour.
