Aldershot pays tribute to Drummer Lee Rigby

More than 100 people gathered in Aldershot to pay their respects to Drummer Lee Rigby who was murdered in south-east London.

Flowers were laid at a memorial outside the Garrison Church on Saturday.

The event was organised on social media so people in the town that is home to thousands of soldiers could express their sympathy and solidarity.

Drummer Rigby, 25, from Middleton, Greater Manchester, was a soldier with the 2nd Battalion Royal Regiment of Fusiliers.

He was murdered near Woolwich barracks on Wednesday.
