Motorcyclist dies in two-vehicle New Forest collision

A motorcyclist has died in a two-vehicle collision in the New Forest.

The 50-year-old man was riding a motorbike which collided with a Mercedes Vito van on the A35 between Ashurst and Lyndhurst.

The biker, who has not yet been named, died at the scene of the crash, which happened at 22:00 BST on Tuesday. His next-of-kin have been informed.

The road was shut while police examined the scene. Hampshire Constabulary has appealed for witnesses.
