A Royal Mail lorry driver has been found not guilty of causing the death of a moped rider by careless driving.

Desmond Garraway, 54, of Southampton, was overtaking on the Farnham-bound A331 on 3 May last year when his lorry collided with a moped.

Mark Edwards, 50, of Camberley, Surrey, who was riding the moped, was taken to hospital where he was pronounced dead.

Mr Garraway, who denied causing death by careless driving, was cleared by a jury at Winchester Crown Court.
