Winchester couple baffled by 'crone' painting

3 October 2013 Last updated at 20:47 BST

A Winchester couple are trying to trace the owners of a painting they received through the post - of an old lady with a hooked nose, dressed in a white shawl, who they describe as an "old crone".

Keith Webb said the package was addressed to him, but there was no message enclosed, no signature on the painting and they cannot trace the sender.

He and his wife find it so "unpleasant" to look at they have put it in the garage until the owner can be traced.
