Body parts have been washed up on a shore in Southampton.

A dog walker spotted the remains along the Weston foreshore, close to a yacht club, at about 08:25 GMT.

The area has been sealed off by police and the remains taken to hospital for post-mortem tests. It is not known whether they are male or female.

Police said there was nothing to suggest foul play but officers were keeping an "open mind". Missing persons records are also being checked.
