Bitterne Park bomb hoax: Southampton man denies charge
A man has denied a bomb hoax that led to the evacuation of homes in Southampton.
A device was found in the garden of a house in Manor Farm Road, Bitterne Park, on Wednesday morning.
It caused surrounding roads to be closed while bomb disposal experts carried out a controlled explosion.
Pascal Knorr-Gulde, 41, of Bond Road, Southampton, pleaded not guilty to the charge at the city's magistrates court.
He was remanded in custody and a trial date was set for 6 June at Southampton Crown Court.
A 62-year-old woman from Southampton who was also arrested after the hoax has been bailed until June 10.
