New Forest murder: Three people released by police

Three people arrested as part of an investigation into the murder of a woman in the New Forest have been released by police.

Penelope Davis, 47, was discovered stabbed to death in a field where she was tending to her horses at Leygreen Farm, Beaulieu, on 2 September.

Three people were arrested in connection with her death on Wednesday.

A 29-year-old man and 28-year-old woman have now been released with no further action to be taken against them.

A 46-year-old man has been bailed by police until 23 October pending further enquiries.

All three people were being held on suspicion of assisting an offender.

Justin Robertson, 36, of no fixed address, is charged with Mrs Davis's murder and was remanded in custody on Wednesday to appear at Winchester Crown Court on 18 December.
