Four hurt in Southampton as car hits pedestrians

Four people have been taken to hospital after being struck by a car in a popular night spot in Southampton.

Two men were later arrested on suspicion of grievous bodily harm after the vehicle hit the pedestrians outside the 90 degrees bar in Carlton Place.

The area was busy with revellers at the time of the crash at about 00:30 GMT.

Three people were seriously hurt, while the fourth sustained minor injuries. The arrested men, aged 22 and 23, are being questioned by officers.

All those injured were taken to Southampton General Hospital.
