Three men arrested in connection with the death of a man who was found lying in the street have been released without charge.

Nick Beattie, 32, was discovered on a footpath in Golden Grove, Southampton, on Friday afternoon.

Police are still treating the death as unexplained as a post-mortem examination proved inconclusive.

A Hampshire Constabulary spokesman said there were no obvious signs of injury and more tests were being carried out.

Officers have invited local people to visit a mobile police station opened in Golden Grove.

Insp Pete Jones admitted there were "some challenges in the area" but reassured residents all reports of criminality and anti-social behaviour were taken seriously.

Two of the three released men are aged 40 and one is aged 42.

A 37-year-old local man, who was arrested on suspicion of murder on Saturday, remains in custody.
