The family of a driver who died in a crash on the M27 have said they are "devastated" by his death.

Kevin Burton, 45, from Southampton was in his Ford Focus when it collided with a HGV on 26 March.

A family statement said: "He will be missed for his passion for all things Star Wars, his love of technology, music and movies."

The M27 was closed for 21 hours following the crash and subsequent fire near junction 9 of the eastbound M27.

"Kevin was a loving and devoted husband to Rachael, 43, and a wonderful and dedicated dad to his two children, James, nine, and Abigail, six.

"He will be deeply missed by all he knew; he was a man who was always there for his family, friends and colleagues, always willing to help whenever he could."
