The family of a man found murdered in Southampton have said they are "unable to come to terms" with his death.

Szymon Kalita, 33, was found with serious injuries at a house in Malmesbury Road, Shirley, on Monday afternoon. He later died.

His family in Poland called him a "cheerful and hard-working person with a great sense of humour".

Adam Dominiak, 40, of Malmesbury Road is charged with murder and due before Winchester Crown Court on 11 May.

Mr Kalita, who was Polish, had lived and worked in the UK for the past couple of years, most recently Southampton.
