Fire wrecks Hayling Island semi-detached houses
Fire has wrecked two semi-detached houses on Hayling Island, off the Hampshire coast.
The blaze in Southwood Road is believed to have started in one property and spread through the roof.
Hampshire Fire and Rescue said the ground floor, first floor and roof of one property was "severely damaged" while next door suffered damage to the first floor and roof.
Six crews from four stations were called shortly after 12:00 BST.
A spokesman said by 13:00 the fire had since been "surrounded" and crews were beginning salvage work.
The fire was extinguished by about 14:45.
Bus operator Stagecoach said its services in the area were experiencing ongoing delays and its 30/31 route had been diverted via Nutbourne Road.
