Reward offered after Portsmouth 'hammer' attack
A £5,000 reward is being offered for information about a suspected hammer attack in which a 17-year-old girl suffered "life changing" injuries.
Hampshire Constabulary said an attempted murder investigation has now been launched after the attack at a property in Shearer Road, Portsmouth, shortly before 19:00 BST on 11 April.
She suffered head injuries and remains in hospital in a serious condition.
Information that leads to a successful prosecution will earn the reward.
Police said a man they want to speak to was caught on CCTV in the Commercial Road area two days before the attack.
Officers previously said the girl's injuries were "life changing" and added they were believed to have been caused by a hammer.
The man is described as white, of small to medium build, about 5ft 5ins (1.65m) tall, with short light-brown hair and a short beard.
