Southampton stab murder suspect's custody extended
Detectives have been given more time to question a man over the death of Michael Freshwater, whose body was discovered in a flat in Southampton.
Police have until Monday evening to release or charge the 26-year-old from the city, who was arrested on suspicion of murder on Saturday.
A 35-year-old man, from Southampton, who was also arrested has been released without charge.
Mr Freshwater, 49, was found fatally stabbed in St Denys on Friday.
In a statement, his partner Jenny Downey said his death had left her "absolutely heartbroken".
