M3 cyclist death: Tribute to Aldershot man Simon Wagner

A cyclist who died following a crash on the M3 in Hampshire "had a warm and generous heart", his family has said.

Simon Wagner, 52, from Aldershot, died after his bicycle was involved in a crash with a car between junction 4a and Fleet Services at about 22:40 BST on Thursday.

The father-of-three suffered serious injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.

In a statement, his family described his death as a "terrible shock".

"Simon had a warm and generous heart, loved life and made friends wherever he went," the statement added.

Hampshire Constabulary has appealed for anyone with information to get in touch.
