Police link 35 New Forest thefts as raiders take power tools

Thousands of pounds worth of power tools have been stolen in 35 burglaries during one month in the New Forest.

Hampshire Constabulary said it believes the break-ins, which mainly targeted sheds and garages, are linked.

The string of burglaries happened during April and May in Lymington, New Milton, Ringwood and Fordingbridge.

A police spokesman said £15,000 worth of power tools, including a disc cutter and circular saw, were stolen from an outbuilding in West Road in Bransgore.
