A motorcyclist killed in a crash on a Hampshire road has been named.

Paul Hoffman, 52, from Ash in Surrey, died at the scene following the incident on Blacknest Road, opposite the Jolly Farmer Pub on Sunday.

A 50-year-old man from Surrey was arrested in connection with the collision and has since been released on bail, police said.

Hampshire Constabulary believe a second motorcyclist was involved in the crash and have appealed for witnesses.

Police said Mr Hoffman was riding a black Harley Davidson motorcycle and travelling south-east along Blacknest Road after he appeared to brake heavily - causing him to come off the vehicle.

Investigations into the circumstances of the collision are ongoing, the force said.
