Fair Oak crash: Family 'devastated' by Chris Whyton's death

Tributes have been paid to a man who died when his car left the road and crashed through fencing near a railway line.

Chris Whyton, 32, from Lordswood, died at the scene on Allington Lane, Fair Oak, on Thursday.

In tribute his family said he was "cherished and much loved. He will be sadly missed by all who knew him."

Police said Investigations into the exact cause of the crash involving the silver Skoda were ongoing.

In a statement, his family said: "Family and friends are devastated at the sudden loss of Chris.

"He will always be in our prayers."

Police have appealed for witnesses to come forward.
