White van appeal over hit-and-run cyclist death

Police looking for a driver involved in a fatal hit-and-run crash in Hampshire have released the registration of a van they want to trace.

A 70-year-old cyclist suffered serious head injuries in the collision on the A338 Salisbury Road, near Fordingbridge, on 28 April.

He died in hospital on 18 May.

Hampshire Constabulary said a white Ford Transit flatbed van - registration BU53 FVM - captured on CCTV was believed to have been involved.

Officers have appealed for help in finding the vehicle.
