Work to restore a clock tower dating back to the 1860s is to be celebrated in a Herefordshire village.

It was not safe for people to go up stairs to wind the clock at the tower in Whitchurch.

But villagers campaigned to get the landmark ticking again and a Heritage Lottery Fund grant of £25,000 has gone towards the initiative.

Music, juggling and cream teas will be on offer on Saturday to mark work which has taken place over six months.
