Woman, 23, killed in crash on A438 is named

A woman who died in a crash when the car she was driving left a road in Herefordshire and hit a tree has been identified by police.

Emma Young, from Hereford, was driving along the A438 near the Trumpet Crossroads in Ledbury on Thursday when she crashed into a gate.

The 23-year-old driver was confirmed dead at the scene.

The crossroads were closed for six hours while police worked at the scene and the vehicle was recovered.

Any witnesses are asked to contact police.
