Woman arrested after girl stabbed in Kidderminster

A woman has been arrested after a 17-year-old girl was stabbed in the arm in Worcestershire.

The girl, who is being treated in hospital, suffered a serious stab wound to her arm after a number of people were involved in an argument.

The incident happened outside the Peacock pub, Blackwell Street, Kidderminster, at about 0100 BST on Saturday.

The woman, who was arrested on suspicion of wounding, has been bailed.

"A number of people had left the pub and became involved in an argument, with pushing and shoving taking place in the street," West Mercia Police said.

Anyone who witnessed the incident has been urged to contact detectives.
