Girl, 16, charged over stabbing in Kidderminster

A 16-year-old girl has been charged after a girl was stabbed outside a pub in Worcestershire.

The incident happened outside the Peacock pub, Blackwell Street, Kidderminster, early on Saturday.

A 17-year-old girl is being treated in hospital for a serious injury to her arm, West Mercia Police said.

The 16-year-old girl was charged with wounding and possession of an offensive weapon and was due to face Kidderminster Youth Court.

A woman who was arrested on suspicion of wounding has been released on police bail as inquiries continue.
