Memorial service for former Worcester MP Lord Walker

A memorial service for Peter Walker, Lord Walker of Worcester, has taken place in the city's cathedral.

The former Conservative MP passed away aged 78 in June 2010. He had been suffering from cancer.

Peter Walker was MP for Worcester from 1961 to 1992, serving in Prime Minister Ted Heath's cabinet between 1970 and 1974.

His son Robin Walker, current MP for Worcester, paid tribute to him during the service.
