Police link man and woman's deaths in Worcestershire

The deaths of two people who were in a relationship have been linked, according to police.

Police were called to Worcester's CrownGate shopping centre at 1737 GMT on Friday, where a man in his late 20s was found with serious head injuries.

He was taken to Worcestershire Royal Hospital but died from his injuries shortly after.

At 1906 GMT officers found a woman in her 30s dead at her home in Cooper Street, Malvern.

The man was discovered outside the multi-storey car park.

Further tests

Police said both deaths are being investigated and the woman's is being treated as suspicious.

Det Insp Jon Wallis said: "We were called to two separate incidents on Friday which, after initial enquiries, we are now linking.

"The man and the woman were in a relationship and we are not looking for anyone else in connection with the two deaths."

He added post mortem examinations have taken place and they are awaiting further tests.

The Coroner for Worcestershiren Geraint Williams has been informed and inquests are set to open in due course.

Police have not named the man or the woman.
