Plans to build a new supermarket, cinema and dozens of shops in Hereford are going before a council.

More than 10,000 have signed a petition asking for plans at the cattle market site to be reconsidered to help protect the existing city centre and firms.

Developers Stanhope wants to demolish and redevelop the Edgar Street site.

The application was being discussed by Herefordshire Council and the new cattle market is due to open on the outskirts of the city in June.
