Ex-Worcester Royal Grammar teacher charged over child images
A former Worcester grammar school teacher has been ordered to appear in court accused of making indecent images of children.
Alan Millington was suspended from his role teaching biology in January and later resigned, the school said.
He was accused of five counts of making indecent photographs of a child in May 2004. The school said the charges did not relate to current or former pupils.
The 58-year-old is due to appear before Worcester magistrates on 7 May.
A spokesman for the school said: "We can confirm that none of the charges relate to activity undertaken during school hours, on the school's premises or on school equipment.
"We can also confirm that there is no evidence that any pupils, past or present, are involved."
Mr Millington previously appeared at Worcester Magistrates Court on 29 March where he was released on bail to reappear before magistrates for a committal hearing in May.
