Worcester man who died after arrest named

A man who died after being taken to hospital from police custody has been named.

Colin Ranford, aged 51, of Worcester, was taken into custody after being arrested in the city's Southall Street on Monday.

He was taken to hospital on Tuesday and was pronounced dead at Walsgrave Hospital on Wednesday afternoon.

West Mercia Police has informed the Independent Police Complaints Commission about the matter.
