Bushley murder inquiry: Two men arrested

A man seriously injured in Worcestershire has died in hospital.

Robin Troughton, 59, of Longdon, Worcestershire, was taken by air ambulance to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital, in Birmingham, on 3 April.

Police said he had been injured in an "incident" in Bushley near Tewkesbury and died in hospital on 22 April.

A spokesman said they are awaiting the results of further post-mortem tests but have arrested two men as part of a murder inquiry.

Det Insp Richard Rees said: "Mr Troughton sadly died in hospital on Friday.

"A murder investigation has now been launched and inquiries are ongoing.

"Two men remain on bail and I would like to stress we are not looking for anyone else in connection with the incident."

He said the arrested men were in their 70s and 50s and had been released on police bail while inquiries continue.
