Theft of 17th Century Bible box in Worcestershire

A 17th Century Bible box worth £400 has been taken from a historic Worcestershire manor house.

The carved oak box was stolen from the Great Chamber at Harvington Hall, a moated medieval and Elizabethan manor house south-east of Kidderminster.

It was described as about 1ft 9ins (53cm) long and had round feet and a floral pattern carved on it.

It was taken while the hall was open to the public between 1130 and 1700 BST on 21 April, it was believed.
