Crowngate Shopping Centre electrical cable stolen

Copper electrical cable worth up to £10,000 has been stolen from a shopping centre in Worcester.

West Mercia Police said the theft took place between 0100 and 0115 BST on 14 May at Crowngate Shopping Centre, in Friary Walk.

A spokesman said two men were seen pushing a wooden drum containing the electrical cable in a loading area leading to All Saints Road.

The drum was later found in Moreton Place without the cable inside.

Pc Rich Harris said: "We would like to hear from anyone who saw these men pushing the drum, or loading the cable into a vehicle.

"A number of vehicles would have been passing at the time and drivers may have information that could help with inquiries."
