Missing cat Peachy back home in Worcestershire after two years

A family from Worcestershire have been reunited with their cat, two years after she went missing.

Peachy was found by charity SOS Animal during its campaign to neuter feral cats in the Stourport area.

Charity workers found a microchip on the tortoiseshell cat and were able to contact her owners.

Alex Krstic, from the charity, said it was delighted to receive the news which highlighted the importance of microchipping pets.

He said: "If Peachy hadn't been microchipped we would never have known who she was, and she would have probably been re-homed somewhere else other than back with her owner.

"The microchip stays forever and it gives us a perfect chance to find out who the original owner was."
