Worcestershire NHS trust names interim chief executive
An interim chief executive of Worcester Acute Hospitals Trust has been named.
Dr Mark Goldman has previously been the boss at the Heart of England NHS Foundation Trust and he will take up his new position in September.
The current boss, John Rostill, 64, announced his intention to retire last month.
In May, the trust was criticised about elderly care at Alexandra Hospital in Redditch. Officials say this is not the reason for Mr Rostill's departure.
Trust chairman Harry Turner said he welcomed the appointment of Mr Goldman.
"I am absolutely delighted that Mark has agreed to join us in the capacity of interim chief executive.
"I believe that he will provide invaluable support to the trust board and senior team in steering us through a transitional period."
The trust hopes to confirm the permanent successor in early September with a view to a starting date in the new year, a spokesman added.
