Four questioned over death of Herefordshire pensioner

Four men have been arrested by police investigating the death of a 75-year-old man from Herefordshire more than a decade ago.

In May, West Mercia Police opened a cold case review into the death of Albert Ryall found dead at his home in Risbury in November 2000.

Two of the men were arrested in Herefordshire and two in Worcestershire.

All were being held on suspicion of manslaughter.

Det Ch Insp Andy Hughes said the arrests were a significant step forward.

He said: "I believe that it will create another opportunity for people come forward and speak to us.

"I am searching for the truth: while that search continues, this investigation will not go away."

A reward of £10,000 is being offered for information in the case.
