Malvern Hills District Council to hold parking review

Parking is to be reviewed by a Worcestershire council to work out what facilities will be needed in future.

Malvern Hills District Council is carrying out the study of on-street and pay-and-display car parking.

It will look at parking in Malvern, Tenbury Wells and Upton upon Severn and question residents and businesses.

A spokesman said the aim is to ensure the facilities are fit for purpose and they provide value for money to customers and council taxpayers.

Survey staff

Councillor Browen Behan, portfolio holder for environmental control, said: "To ensure the council makes the best possible decisions about the future of its car parking services we want to hear the views of the service users and other interested individuals and organisations."

Apart from sending out questionnaires to various businesses, focus groups and other organisations the council will be conducting a number of surveys in various car parks and on-street locations.

Survey staff will be dressed in uniform with ID badges.

The questionnaire is also available on the council's website.
