Hereford meat cleaver attack: Three arrested

Three men have been arrested after a man was attacked with a meat cleaver in Hereford.

Police said the man suffered head and hand injuries in the incident in Bewell Street in the early hours of Sunday.

A man and woman were seen arguing in the town earlier in the evening and the man was attacked outside outside the Bowling Green pub.

The men have since been released on police bail pending further inquiries.

Police said a man, aged in his 30s, was arrested on suspicion of committing grievous bodily harm and a man in his 20s was arrested on suspicion of committing actual bodily harm.

A second man in his 20s was also arrested on suspicion of affray.
