Herefordshire fatal crash man named by police

A motorcyclist who died in a traffic collision has been named by police.

Rick Walford, 38, of Bronydd Clyro, in Powys, died on 29 July when he was involved in a crash on the A49 near Callow, in Herefordshire.

Mr Walford's black Suzuki 1000cc motorbike collided with three other vehicles. He was declared dead at the scene by paramedics.

Police said an inquest had been opened and adjourned while investigations into the cause of the crash continued.

Sgt Tim Hargaves said: "We have taken statements from a number of people who witnessed the collision, but if there is anyone we failed to speak to I would urge them to contact me.

"Also, if anyone saw the moments leading up to the collision as Mr Walford travelled along the A49, I would be interested in hearing from them."
