Byton Combe Moor crash victims named

Two people who died in a road accident in Herefordshire have been named.

Claire Barlow, 24, of Pound Lane in Presteigne, and Richard Warr, 21, from Pencombe, were killed when their cars collided in Byton Combe Moor on Friday.

Ms Barlow was pronounced dead at the scene and Mr Warr died soon after arriving at Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Birmingham.

The Herefordshire coroner opened and adjourned an inquest into their deaths.

Mr Warr's family have described him as "a wonderful son, brother and friend to so many".

"He had an infectious smile and he was so full of character," they said.

Ms Barlow's family have also paid tribute to her and said she will be missed.

"Claire was a beautiful girl who was renowned for her wonderful smile, bubbly personality and love of life," they said.

"It is only at this sad time that we have realised how much she was loved and how much she meant to people in Presteigne and the surrounding area."
