Staunton on Wye crash: Cyclist killed in van collision

A cyclist has died after colliding with a van in Herefordshire.

The man, in his 40s, was hit by a white Fiat Fiorino travelling towards Hereford on the A438 near Staunton on Wye just after 13:45 BST on Sunday.

West Mercia Police said the cyclist, who had been riding a racing-type bike, was treated at the scene, but died later at Hereford County Hospital.

Police are also appealing for witnesses who may have seen the collision or the van shortly before the incident.
