Redditch family moved after car deliberately crashed into house

A Worcestershire family have been moved into temporary accommodation after a stolen car was deliberately crashed into their house.

The driverless car crashed into the house in Ibstock Close, Winyates, Redditch, at 02:00 BST on Monday.

The family were in the house at the time but no-one was injured.

Det Con Adrian Smith said: "It would appear the car has been stolen and then quite deliberately crashed into this property."

He said: "We have not yet established a motive and are keeping an open mind about that."

There was extensive damage to the porch and brickwork of the house which has been declared structurally unsound.

The charcoal grey Audi estate was stolen from Alhambra Road in Redditch on Sunday night.
